NEVER trust Portaal
Review over PortaalSorry, I need to write in English because want to be very clear in my review and Dutch is not perfect. I rented a place in Utrecht by Portaal, we were always excellent payers and complied with all what included in our undertakings. We lived in this place for about 4 years. The place didn't have a floor so we spent 2000 euros in a good parket/isolation floor and set up all by ourselves. When we left the apartment we agreed with Portaal employee that they would offer the floor on our behalf to the next renter and if he wanted to pay ONE THOUSAND euros, the deal was done otherwise we would remove the floor. When the renter started living there following happened:
- Portaal didn't notify the renter. They simply offered the apartment with our floor included. Not sure if extra payment was required for the apartment with floor included.
- When we contacted the renter through Portaal, he said it was fine to pay, we negotiated a lot the payment and at the end O EUROS was paid. Such a waste of time and money.
- When we claimed to Portaal that they undertook letting us know so we could have the chance to remover and bring away our floor, they simply said it they weren't obliged to do so.
-ON TOP OF THIS, Portaal was sending a LOT of invoices alledgedly "correcting" wrong statements for our gas consumption. The total amount OVERCOME the loss of our floor due to their extremely unprofessional and illegal behavior.
Be ADVISED. portaal is NOT a good party to deal with. COVER your back and NEVER trust them.
